Performance and Gender Seminar Series: Dr Emily Underwood-Lee

Event Date November 29, 2017 2:45 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Location – CA B403, Atrium, Adam St, Cardiff, CF24 2FN

Join us at the first session of Performance and Gender seminars on Wednesday 29th November in CA B218 from 1430-1700 where Dr Emily Underwood-Lee will be presenting some of her current work on performance and the maternal. Refreshments provided.

Performance and Gender seminar series aim to envisage as a space to explore, critique and enrich perspectives on gender and its representations in contemporary (visual) culture. While these issues appear ubiquitous they can be institutionalised and work on the assumption that battles have been won. Thus, we seek to establish an open discussion about gender and sexuality within performance. With an interdisciplinary focus in mind, we invite scholars, students, artists and practitioners to present and discuss work in, but not limited to, the following areas:

Media
Film
Theatre
Performance
Literature
Music
Animation
Cultural Studies
