Event Date November 14, 2015 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Location – Zen Room, ATriuM
Through a fruitful partnership with Cardiff City Council, the University of South Wales (USW) has produced a range of public performance work across the city. Working closely with the Council’s Cemeteries and Bereavement services, USW has brought ‘history to life’ with performers creating short scenes relating to the fascinating stories of the people buried in the Cathays Cemetery.
This free event (part of the national Being Human Festival) will consolidate these popular heritage walks with a live audio performance that will re-create the sounds and stories of the cemetery and feature the launch of a series of anywhere, any time heritage walk podcasts. In addition to the performance, the event will feature presentations and an open discussion on the multiple histories and futures of the cemetery.
As Being Human Festival events are free, not everyone who asks for tickets comes to our events. To make sure we have a full house we allocate more tickets than there are seats. We do our best to get the numbers right, but unfortunately we occasionally have to disappoint people. Admission is on a first come, first served basis, so please arrive in good time for the start of the event.
